LENERT, Jean

Native of Metz, he pursues his musical studies (violin, analysis, harmony and piano) in this city so following the education of Léon TILLION. He perfects then in Paris with Marcel REYNAL and Henri SZERING.

Admitted in the Orchestra of Paris on competition in first violins, he plays supervised by most big bosses - C. MÜNCH, J. KRIPS, O. KLEMPERER, KARAJAN.He crosses (spends) the C.A. and goes to the education and the chamber music. Before creating with friends le Quintet of France, he makes left the Quartet PARENNIN. Professor in the C.N.R. of Boulogne Billancourt from 1975 till 1985, then in the C.N.R. Superior of Paris from 1985, Jean LENERT is a member of the jury of the national and international competitions but also responsible for class of preparation in C.A., director(manager) of the Camerata of France, responsible for the writing desk of the first violins of the French Orchestra of the young people and finally responsible for academies(regional education authorities) summer.

It is regularly invited to give Master Classes in France and abroad. Number of his alumni participates in the French musical life whether it is in the education or in the French full orchestrae. He is a professor of the C.N.R today. Superior of Paris, the C.N.S.M. of Paris, Schola Cantorum of Paris and artistic director of the Chamber orchestra of Montpellier. In 2002, Jean LENERT is named Knight of the order of the Merit.
